Registration Process 2024-2025 School Year
All students are required to have the following forms on file with the preschool office by the beginning of the school year. Please note that the Health Inventory Combined Form has a section that must be filled out by your child's doctor.

A Parent's Guide to Regulated Child Care
Registration for the upcoming school year begins in January. Enrollment is granted on a first come-first served basis with Rockville UMC members and current NDPS enrollees and their siblings given priority. Registration is then open to the general public on a first come-first served basis. Waiting lists are maintained throughout the year for each age and class, and parents are contacted in order of their placement on the lists.
The NDP Registration Form should be completed and returned to the preschool with a check for the following May's tuition, and the $100.00 non-refundable registration fee. May's tuition is non-refundable after July 1st, and may only be used for May's tuition once school has started. Call the preschool office (301-340-3373) for more specific information in January.
Children must re-register each year. They are not automatically re-registered. Waiting lists are maintained throughout the year for each age and class, and parents are contacted in order of placement on the list.
Parents may place their child on a younger age list, but not an older one. Parents may choose to enroll a five year old in a four year old class, a four year old in a three year old class, or a three year old in a two year old class, if they feel it is in their child's best interest.
Children are placed in each class on a first come-first served basis, taking into account a good boy/girl ratio, even distribution of age with the 12-month span, and diversity of ethnic backgrounds.
