Registration for the upcoming school year begins in January. Enrollment is granted on a first come-first serve basis with Rockville UMC members and current NDPS enrollees and their siblings given priority. Registration is then open to the general public on a first come-first serve basis. Waiting lists are maintained throughout the year for each age and class, and parents are contacted in order of their placement on the lists.

The NDPS application should be completed and returned to the preschool with a check for May's tuition, and the $60.00 non-refundable registration fee. May's tuition is non-refundable after July 1. Call the preschool office (301-340-3373) for more specific information in January.

Children must reregister each year. They are not automatically reregistered. Waiting lists are maintained throughout the year for each age and session, and parents are contacted in order of placement on the list.

Parents may place their child on a younger age list, but not an older one. Parents may choose to enroll a five year old in a four year old session, a four year old in a three year old session, a three year old in a two year old session, if they feel it is in their child's best interest.

Children are placed in each class on a first come-first serve basis, taking into account a good boy/girl ratio, even distribution of age with the 12-month span, and diversity of ethnic backgrounds.
